This division is sure to be interesting and rewarding.
Parents, Guardians or Care-givers can pass along their skills, knowledge and love of the game while playing along-side your young-ones.
This division is intended to be developmental and very non-competitive.
One $65 registration fee covers both parents and the tot.
Games are reffed by the parents just using the honor system (call your own fouls) and they'll be no official score-keeping.
The General Idea
4-on-4, half court
2 adults, 2 tots on the court at the same time
'check' the ball in every possession (even after turn-overs)
played on courts with slightly lower rims
Kids between the ages of 2 and 9 years old
We'll do our best to make informed groupings regarding age, gender and skill level.
Both parents/care-givers can play games with their Tot.
parents can take turns going to games, or take turns on the court each game
no referees or scorekeepers are provided for this division
all proceeds go to prizes and a wind-up party
both parents and the tot get their own shirts
intended to develop 'the flow' of basketball as opposed to doing drills
also to convey the feel of friendly competition that basketball can provide
build the community and friendships through sport
